New Life Family:

Last weekend we enjoyed three glorious days of singing, preaching, praising, worship and fellowship at the 8th Annual General Conference of the Fellowship of Reconciling Pentecostals International in Indianapolis. It was great getting to be with our brothers and sisters and fellow ministers from across the United States and our fellowship. Pastors Debbie and Laveta from Odessa, TX, were able to be with us and it was such a blessing to see and hear about the divine intervention of God in their lives as they survived a tragic house fire in the first Sunday of the year. Our fellowship and churches rallied and we were able to present them a check for just over $3000.00 to help them get back on their feet. We heard powerful messages from various RPI ministers. The breakout sessions were excellent and received great reviews. On Saturday evening, our own Elder Suzanne Halligan was granted a general license Credential with RPI. Keep her in prayer since she will be required to read, review and teach more regularly. Pastor Dan was re-elected as Secretary of RPI, which he has proven to do an excellent job over the past three years. New ministries are being birthed from this conference and we all came away refreshed, renewed and excited about what God wants to do with all of us here at NLCCH. To see more about the activities of RPI go to www.rpifellowship.com

Here at home I am expecting new zeal and commitment from those who attended the conference. God moved powerfully at the conclusion of Pastor Doug Clanton’s sermon on Sunday night. The alter service and personal ministry was phenomenal. You just shoulda been there!

God bless you all today,
Pastor Randy

From The Pastor’s Desk…

New Life Family:

This is a very special season for your pastor’s! It was at this time of year, 12 years ago, that your pastor’s first met in a church in Phoenix, AZ. Thus, an anniversary is kept and commemorated annually. Many milestones have been attained over these past 12 years with family, friends, and church-related fellowship. We have had the privilege of serving this church for nearly as long and have met wonderful people that God has sent through the doors of NLCCH. We have watched many come and go. We have baptized you, prayed for your healing, visited you in hospitals, seen many of you set free from addictions, rejoiced in your victories as the salvation of the Lord became integrated into your lives, and attended funerals during times of loss within your own families and close friendships.

As time continues we will experience more and more related events that are near and dear to all. We do not stop from time to time and reminisce. We do our best to recall the good and not the bad. We chose not to dwell on the disappointments that have come our way, yet we all know they have been present as well. Through it all, I believe we have learned to trust Jesus more completely and more assuredly.

This week we celebrate the birthday of one special lady that came through our doors during our tenure on Skwiat Legion Avenue. She became the “mother” of our church over time. Mother Pat Benson, we honor you this week on your birthday. It is another milestone for you and another year we have been blessed to share you with the Lord. We pray God’s sweetest blessings for health and happiness especially this Thursday, February 12. You are loved by your New Life Family.

God bless you all today,
Pastor Randy
